Well, Thursday I got laid off again...You could say that. actually lost my Nanny position is a better way of putting it. I had the job for a month! One month!!!! Sigh, thought we'd be able to catch up on all the bills this month with me working but now not to be.. They hired someone like an Au-Pair, a live in. They shouldn't have had a child if you ask me(and no-one did). Found out they get someone to come on weekends too to be with the little charge. I dont want to put his name here as he is 5. I was just getting used to him and breaking him of some stuff! No warning just pow, we dont need you anymore... I said I understood, but liar, I dont. said its all for the boy... huh, he needs his parents not MONEY!!! My kids did just fine without money and things, they had me there while they were growing up, the best thing a child can have!!! Sure it wasn't easy, but we did it! it can be done. yeah, I know, I'm down on working Moms, but seriously, it can be done while they are young, the most forming years, the ones that we all cherish...Being with our children. That's why GOD made mothers, not to work, but to raise her children! I came up with an acroymn years ago with my name:
T-Training her children to
R-Respect
A-And
C-Call upon the Lord
E-Enduring all until
E-Eternity
Cute, huh? I like it.it meant a lot to me. I even homeschooled my two for 5 yrs! Wonderful!! I got to enjoy them for even longer. Some people just dont know what they are missing. GOD comes first, then your FAMILY, then everything else. If you follow this you'll be fine. Just remember, God didnt promise that everything would be peachy keen though, as Christians, we have many problems, but the only difference is, we have someone to lean on and to help us through...GOD... My Bible verse that I claimed years ago is:
PHILIPPIANS 4:11
......FOR I HAVE LEARNED IN WHATSOEVER STATE I AM, THEREWITH TO BE CONTENT..(KJV)
I forget this sometimes and start to worry, but I finally do remember it and worry is a sin. Like now, No job and doesnt look like one on the immediate horizon either...I'm praying... I do still have my Bookkeeping/Payroll for the one company that I do. So I am bringing in something, just not enough. Need a part time something,20-25 hours a week. Be nice to do something that I like. I miss the coffee shop. I know I had planned to quit in Dec. but I doubt I'd have followed through on it.I liked it too much and had good friends and good money too, even though I was only making 5.85 an hour+tips. I wish I could find something like that again and make my own hours up for it like we did there. I have been everywhere putting in applications... No one is hiring and if they are you need a degree in something or another. Even the office work that is in paper needing help, you have to have a degree, what about experience? I have run my own bookkeeping/payroll company for 4+ years now... Dosen't matter, gotta have degree... i don't really want to go back out in the public, but i guess I may have to. Then you get yucky hours. i'm supposed to be winding down, getting ready to retire in 15 years. yes, I'll be 45 this year.... well, I'll keep looking and if anybody knows of a small company needing book keeping or payrolls done let me know. I charge $15 an hour for bookkeeping and if you have 5 or less employees I charge $45 a month for payroll.Wish I could build that up again. I lost several businesses last year due to the economy. they took it in house. Still, I am pretty cheap in my prices compared to others. I use Quickbooks on line or Quicken to do books. they are the best and easiest to use. Payroll is easy too with what I use. Well, happy job hunting to me....
